MEADOWPARK, BRAINTREE: Is declared Open!!!

BRAINTREE’S MP Brooks Newmark declared retirement village MeadowPark open at an October ceremony attended by a crowd of over 100 purchasers and friends.

In unveiling a plaque and cutting the ribbons to open the John Ray Pavilion he was ably assisted by Stephen Everington, chief executive of Hallmark Developments, responsible for this innovative scheme on the outskirts of Braintree. David Finch, Chairman of the District Council, joined in thanking Hallmark for all the company is doing for Braintree.

His sentiments were echoed by Malcolm Bryan, chairman of the John Ray Trust, who was accompanied by Trust Secretary Janet Turner. ‘We are delighted to welcome Brooks Newmark MP and so many of our close associates and friends to this celebration of a new start for the new youth of the UK, the senior members of our society,’ said Mr Everington. ‘Many developments are carried out with young families in mind. We believe that older members of society are equally deserving of a quality lifestyle and we are building Meadow Park to match that quality.’ ‘We believe that Meadow Park is the first development of its kind in Essex and we are delighted to have the support of Braintree District Council for our groundbreaking scheme,’ he added. ‘It will provide a secure, lively and attractive environment for senior members of our society who wish to remain independent and active while downsizing their property requirement.’
